Research prices
At Parkers Genealogy, we are able to offer a variety of payments plans, as well as a ‘pay as you go’ service. This means that there will always be something to suit you and your finances. Our add-on services such as assistance with DNA testing and colourising/ enhancing photographs start from select fixed prices. As genealogy can be unpredictable, prices can slightly vary but we are committed to being upfront and will always check with you before undertaking any additional expenses. In addition to this, any ‘unspent’ money left after the research is completed is guaranteed to return to you. Some price examples include:
One hour of research - £12

Family history presented in a springback binder - £50
In addition to this, we also offer various packages which are available for purchase. As well as the ones listed below, please enquire for more specific packages.
The gift package includes 10 hours of research, a handwritten family tree, pictures, maps and records, which is then produced on acid-free paper and presented in a burgundy springback binder; costing £175. This price can also be adjusted depending on the chosen research hours.
The starter package is ideal for people who may only know names or vague family stories. At the price of £59, the starter package includes 5 hours of research alongside any pictures and maps that we may find, all produced in written report. This research will likely only go to your great (great) grandparents.
Free no obligation consultations
Our no-obligation initial consultations offers a chance for the genealogist and you to explore any questions and queries you may have. These 15-minute consultations are free and normally take place via a telephone call.
DNA testing.
In certain cases, DNA testing is the best route to answer specific questions. A DNA test can start from £39 and takes approximately 8 weeks to receive results. Parkers Genealogy can help you in receiving, exploring and understanding your results.
Colourising + fixing photographs
Colourising black-and-white photographs adds a new life to already-known photographs. In addition to colourising photographs, we are also able to repair some photographs. This cannot be done for every photograph but we will attempt to give you the best result.
Lower research prices
My previous experience with computers and research means that I am able to offer lower-than-average genealogical research prices. Working exclusively online also reduces unnecessary fees, making the overall cost of the project cheaper.
